Phenology: Students study seasonal change by recording scientific and descriptive observations. Students enjoy spending time alone focusing on how living organisms are changing, moving and adapting to the seasonal changes taking place.

CLASSROOM CONSTITUTION
Students in the sixth grade recently went through a process determining which behaviors they would and would not like to see in their classroom. The end result was a classroom constitution. Students determined a living space, which is an island, and drew pictures illustrating the behaviors that belonged on and off the island. Check out our work below...

Mystery Bags
Students received a bag of items that contained clues for our units of study this school year. They were asked to predict how each item connects to our curriculum.

2009-10 Chatfield School Year: Welcome Students and Parents!
